Biological Anthropology at UCLA
Welcome to Biological Anthropology at UCLA
Our program focuses on behavior from an evolutionary point of view, with a strong emphasis on the role of culture. Our faculty and students approach this general topic using a variety of theoretical and methodological tools. These include behavioral ecology, evolutionary psychology, experiments in both lab and field, ethnographic research, human ethology, and primatological fieldwork. Our faculty and graduate students comprise much of the core membership of UCLA’s Center for Behavior, Evolution and Culture, which unites scholars exploring the connections among evolution, culture, the mind, and society.
We are currently accepting applications to our Ph.D. program. Click belowfor more details.
