Research Interest
The ultimate goal of my research is to understand how the capacity for individuals to socially learn from each other (culture) works, and why natural selection has favored individuals with such a capacity. My work is in large part theoretical and based on mathematical modeling and computer simulations. It is much influenced by Robert Boyd and Peter J. Richerson’s work on cultural evolution. I am currently working at estimating how fast cultural traditions change compared to biological systems.
