Research Interest
My research focuses on the evolution of sociality in hominoids. Broadly, I am interested in intra-sex social dynamics, paternal kin discrimination and investment, and the impact social relationships have on life history patterns and fitness. My dissertation explores the evolutionary function and proximate mechanisms of male-immature relationships in the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei).
